Why do conservatives seem to forget that their economic plans got us into this mess?

We were losing over 500,000!!!! jobs a month in December of 2008. It was their ideas of trickledown economics have hollowed the middle class. Their ideas of “deficits don’t matter” along with their spending plans that tripled of the national deficit from 1980 -1988, doubled it from 1988-1992 and again from 2004-2008. Fully 60% of our debt has occurred under the last three GOP presidents and while it is not only the president who is to blame, just as now, but the rightist don’t mind trying to lay the entire thing in Obama’s lap when they attack him. Now they seek to make us default. Why? Do they hope to wreck the economic recovery so that they can have a shot at winning next year?
