How does Criss Angel vanish?

Now I know that Criss is a more complex magician and there's a catch to what it does, but I watched many episodes of Mindfreak and I still failed to understand even the possibility of him vanishing. But he proves me wrong and simply vanishes in the show, do you guys understand the catch to it or is he somewhat divine or mythical and can just vanish?
