Is Darren Criss' career as big as it's made out to be?

I'm not trying to hate on the guy, but i see one website after another mentioning the guy like he's the next big thing, or he's the most promising of his generation, and recently he was on afterelton.com's hot 100 of 2011 at number one, where they said "to say that actors dream of the year Darren Criss has been having is an understatement". I'm sorry, but is he really THAT big? Or is that promotion just making it out that way?
