Who says "whether your gay, straight, purple, orange or dinosaur... I don't care" and why?

Darren Criss said that during the live stream (part 4 I think on YouTube) he did in April. He was saying how he felt that everyone should be treated right and how he believes that people should embrace what makes them different because it is their strongest asset. "I don't care if you are gay, straight, purple, orange, or dinosaur" Is Darren's wacky way of saying people should not be afraid to be themselves (even if they are different) not matter who they are (hence gay, straight, purple, orange, dinosaur...).
